Tachie Tri-Plex
Location: Thomas Point Tl’azt’en Nation
Description: In November of 2019 we started the construction of a 2,964 sq. ft. tri-plex for Tl’azt’en Nation in Tachie. The triplex consisted of 2 – 2 bedroom 936 sq. ft. units and a center 3 bedroom unit that is 1092 sq. ft. and wrapped it up in early 2020.
We tore down a couple existing structures, leveled the property and landscaped, built in a new driveway and supplied and laid new lawn. The new structure has concrete decks on the lakeside, and concrete steps with the center unit having a concrete handicap ramp on the road side.
Due to the long harsh winters and the buildings use as a rental unit the decision was to build using choice materials, such as but not limited to, Hardie plank cement siding, vinyl plank flooring, thermofoil cabinets with soft close doors, and triple pane windows for increased durability and long life.
We took pride in delivering a premium building at a very reasonable price, by providing experienced journeymen and providing them with capable local labour that wanted to learn and contribute.
